Frequently Asked Questions
Booking & Reservations
How do I book an appointment?
We encourage you to book online for the fastest and most convenient experience. You’ll be able to select your preferred services, times, and providers at your convenience. You’re also welcome to call us at 212.505.3185 between 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. daily. A credit card is required to hold your reservation. If you’re using a gift card, please have the card number handy.
Should I let you know about any special considerations?
Yes—please share any allergies, pregnancy, recent injuries, or therapist preferences when booking. This helps us customize your experience.
Arrival & Timing
When should I arrive?
Please arrive at least 15-30 minutes early to check in and settle into your experience. Arriving early allows you to seamlessly immerse yourself in our spa world and begin a journey of complete relaxation.
What if I’m running late?
We’ll do our best to accommodate you, but services may be shortened to honor following appointments; full fee applies.
Cancellations & Rescheduling
What’s your cancellation policy?
A scheduled appointment blocks a provider’s time. We kindly ask for at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule. Same-day cancellations or missed appointments will incur a 50% charge of the scheduled service fee.
Water Lounge
What is the Water Lounge?
Our Water Lounge is a sanctuary for relaxation and flow, featuring a hot tub, cold plunge, steam room, sauna, and river rock sauna. While it offers designated quiet areas for deep rest, its dynamic energy often changes—particularly on weekends. It remains the heart of the spa experience, offering rejuvenation and ease.
Is Water Lounge access included with a service?
Yes. You’ll receive two hours of complimentary Water Lounge access upon booking any service.
What if I’m not booking a treatment?
You can purchase a day pass:
Weekday Pass: $60 plus tax (9:00 a.m. – 9:30 p.m.; Wednesday, 1:00 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.)
Weekend & Holiday Pass: $70 + tax (8:30 a.m. – 9:30 p.m.)
How do I reserve a Water Lounge pass?
Water Lounge passes can now be reserved online. Passes are limited on weekends and holidays due to potential overcrowding.
To check additional availability, feel free to call the front desk at 212.505.3185.
Are pregnant guests allowed in the Water Lounge?
In accordance with Department of Health guidelines, pregnant guests may not use the hot tub, cold plunge, sauna, or steam room. However, you’re welcome to enjoy any spa service allowed for pregnant guests, as well as the relaxation areas.
What should I wear in the Water Lounge?
A swimsuit is required. If you forget yours, you may enter the steam room or sauna in your robe. We also offer disposable swimsuits—just ask a locker room attendant or at the front desk.
Can I use the Water Lounge before or after a treatment?
Yes. We recommend using the Water Lounge before a facial (to allow products to better absorb post-treatment). For massage or body treatments, it’s up to you.
Is towel service included?
Yes, but please limit use to two towels per guest. Use the special striped towels for the inner sauna experience.
Massage Services
What should I wear?
You may fully undress or keep on undergarments—whatever is most comfortable. Our licensed massage therapist will ensure you are properly draped and comfortable at all times.
Do I choose my pressure level?
Yes. Let your therapist know if you prefer light, medium, or deep pressure. Communication is welcome throughout.
Swedish vs. Deep Tissue—what’s the difference?
Swedish is relaxing and great for overall tension relief.
Deep Tissue targets specific areas with specialized attention.
Do you offer prenatal massages?
Yes, for guests in their second or third trimester. These are done lying sideways with supportive bolsters for safety and comfort.
Is postnatal massage available?
Absolutely—postnatal massage helps restore balance and ease tension after childbirth. Please call the front desk to schedule this service.
Can I get a massage with an injury?
It depends. For chronic issues, massage can help. For acute injuries (such as swelling, inflammation, or recent trauma), please consult a doctor first.
What products do you use?
We work with trusted natural and professional-grade products including Naturopathica®, Red Flower™, Biotone® and Pure Fiji.
What to do after a pain relieving massage?
To maintain your sense of flow and maximize the benefits, hydrate often and allow yourself a period of rest. We suggest delaying your shower for a few hours. This gives the botanical oils time to fully absorb, promoting the cream’s hydrating and skin-renewing benefits.
What to do after a CBD massage?
After your CBD massage, we recommend following the same best practices as any therapeutic massage to maximize the benefits. First, be sure to drink plenty of water to help your body flush out toxins released from your muscles. Allow yourself time to relax and avoid strenuous activities for the rest of the day. To fully experience the anti-aging and hydrating benefits of Hyaluronic Acid, Squalane, and Resveratrol in the cream, we recommend waiting a few hours before showering to allow the product to fully absorb into your skin.
Does CBD help with anxiety?
While this is a wellness-focused experience rather than a clinical treatment, many clients report a profound sense of calm and mental clarity during and after the session. The treatment is designed to reduce everyday stress and encourage a balanced mind-body connection. The natural properties of CBD, combined with the therapeutic power of massage and the calming scent of Palo Santo, work together to deepen your overall state of relaxation. For clinical anxiety, you should always consult with a healthcare professional.
Can CBD lotion get into your bloodstream?
When CBD is applied topically, it is designed to interact primarily with the skin and immediate underlying tissues. Because it is not ingested, it is widely considered to have a localized effect rather than a systemic one. If you have concerns about how your body might process topical CBD, we encourage you to consult with your physician.
Does CBD have side effects?
Topical applications are generally well-tolerated. Most guests find the experience very soothing; however, as with any botanical product, individual skin sensitivity can vary. If you have a history of sensitive skin or are currently under a doctor’s care for a skin condition, please speak with your provider before your treatment.
Facials & Skincare
Not sure which facial to book?
Our licensed estheticians will tailor your treatment based on a skin consultation. You can switch facials at the time of service, depending on your needs. Hydrafacial™ treatments do require advance booking and may not be available without prior notice.
Are facials safe during pregnancy?
Yes. We use gentle, pregnancy-safe formulas across several of our facials.
Will my facial include extractions?
Yes. Let your esthetician know your comfort level.
Should I stop using retinol before a facial?
Yes—discontinue retinol or similar products at least 4 days prior to your treatment.
Can I get a facial before a big event?
Yes, but we recommend booking at least 7 days prior to allow your skin to fully glow.
How often should I get a facial?
Ideally, once per month, or more frequently, depending on your skin goals.
Skincare lines we use: Jurlique®, Naturopathica®, Dr. Hauschka, Stem Cell Beauty Innovations™, Alchimie, Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare™, Environ® and Dr. Alkaitis.
